North Hollywood is the northern ration of the Hollywood area of Los Angeles, California, located in the San Fernando Valley. The neighborhood contains the NoHo Arts District, the El Portal Theatre, several art galleries, and the Academy of TV Arts and Sciences. The North Hollywood Metro Rail station is one of the few subway-accessible Metro Rail stations in Los Angeles. It is a neighborhood within the city of Los Angeles.
North Hollywood was usual by the Lankershim Ranch Land and Water Company in 1887. It was first named “Toluca” before instinctive renamed “Lankershim” in 1896 and finally “North Hollywood” in 1927.
